2013 was a fantastic year for long trips and new countries – I met so many interesting and diverse people during the year. I was lucky enough to be able to take my special leave from work and left the UK on 8th June – and was back at the end of September 2013.

My initial ideas of shipping the GS to Canada were thwarted due to redundancy and the costs of shipping were just too much at this time but I am determined to make the best use of my 50th year.

My route was an exciting mix of off road challenges and city’s for some rest and relaxation, i even managed to get write up my notes and get my pictures published.
