The CB1300 was ‘seventies retro, but technologically it was 21st Century. It was a fuel injected rocket with bags and bags of torque, had the the brake callipers of a FireBlade, adjustable suspension front and rear and has a multi-faceted digital readout which even told me what the weather’s like. It ate rear tyres and I stuffed mine into a hedge between Builth Wells and Brecon, escaping unscathed but very embarrassed. In the end I PX the CB and the insurance money from my XT600 for the BMW R1150 GSA.
