What a pile of crap… never has a bike been so eagerly anticipated and desired, a long teasing wait by Honda… only to have supplied in 2015 (thankfully on a PCP) a soulless empty husk of a machine. The price, and the spec of the 93.8bhp inline twin cylinder motor and it’s fancy Unicam system and 270 degree crank, put the CRF right in the middle of bikes like the R1200GS and the F800GS. I tried to love this bike, I really did, full exhaust, lots of long distance travel – all completed without a complaint but just no soul, no feeling, no love. Honda slashed the price and revised the model line up in 2018 and never have I been so happy to see a van collect a bike – good riddance.
